Introduction
For the advancement
of knowledge and practice of neuroscience at the Institute of Medicine
and to exchange ideas and technology in this country and abroad, a need
for a multidisciplinary forum was felt and subsequently established on
December 29, 2003. The forum includes members from Neuroanesthesia and
Pain Management, Neurology, Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery and ancillary
subspecialties, which include Neuroophthalmology, Neuropathology, Neuropsychiatry,
Neurootology, Craniofacial Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Aims
and Objectives
- To create
a forum for the exchange of ideas in the field of neuroscience.
- To promote
interdisciplinary interaction for better education and patient care.
- To conduct
a weekly Neuroradiology Conference.
- To conduct
a monthly CME program.
- To facilitate
development of higher education in Neuroscience.
- To initiate
a clinical, and, in a long run, basic neuroscience research.
- To create
public awareness regarding problems related to Neuroscience.
- To establish
national and international cooperation in Neuroscience.
- To publish
a journal in Neuroscience.
