- The purpose
of bringing out the Nepal Journal of Neuroscience is to provide a medium for
scientific discussion in the field of neuroscience or other information
of interest to the specialties dealing with the diseases of the nervous
system. The journal is devoted to the publication of work in the field
of neuroscience relevant to Nepal.
- It will
be published twice a year - January and July.
- On average,
a total of 10-12 articles will be published per issue.
a. One on a general topic (sepsis, DM, HTN, antibiotics,
contrasts in CT/ MRI, ethics in Medicine, ICU care, transport of a critically
ill patient etc.).
b. One review article in Neuroscience that is relevant
to diagnosis and management of patients in Nepal.
c. Two original articles in Neurosurgery. Priority
will be given to the case series but rare case reports relevant to Nepalese
context will also be considered.
d. Two original articles in Neurology. Priority will
be given to the case series but rare case reports relevant to Nepalese
context will also be considered.
e. Two original articles in Neuroradiology. Priority
will be given to the case series but rare case reports relevant to Nepalese
context will also be considered. Also we welcome rare and
interesting self-explanatory images in our “ Neuro View Box.”
f. Two original articles in Neuroanesthesiology. Priority
will be given to the case series but rare case reports relevant to Nepalese
context will also be considered.
g. One article in the allied fields - Neurootology,
Neurourology, Neuroophthalmology, Neuropathology, Rehabilitation Medicine,
Obstetric and Gynecology etc. Priority will be given to case series
or case reports where a multispeciality approach in diagnosis or treatment
has been utilized.
- American
English will be the official language of the Journal.
- All the
articles submitted will go through the strict peer review process.
