Abstract
   Most of the challenges in my life have been self imposed and the walk across America was no different. During the summer of 2005 an inner call directed me towards Portland, OR and subsequently across the Interstate 5 Bridge to Ft. Vancouver to finish the walk of almost twenty five hundred miles in eighty-seven days that started at Louisville, KY. This paper is an account of how the journey (?adventure) was planned and completed.
